CHANGING... GROWING... READY FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE
Since the inception of AGBU in 1906, hundreds of thousands of donors have initiated and supported the educational, cultural and humanitarian programs that have served Armenians throughout the world. With the continued contributions of thousands of donors annually, today AGBU administers sixty-two schools, centers, offices, clinics, camps and a variety of programs in twenty-two countries. In the last eight years AGBU has allocated $26,000,000 to establish new projects in Armenia. AGBU's annual budget for world-wide operations is $28,000,000. It is only with the generosity of its contributors that AGBU continues to serve the Armenian population.
All gifts to AGBU are tax-deductible.
GENERAL CONTRIBUTIONS:
Donations which are used for the annual funding of educational, cultural and humanitarian programs.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS AND MEMORIAL GIFTS:
Donations will be allocated to educational or humanitarian programs, or as designated by the family.
ENDOWMENT FUNDS:
A minimum gift of $10,000 establishes a permanent fund in the name of the donor or in memory of a loved one. Donors may designate specific programs which will benefit from the yearly incomes of such funds. Donors to AGBU have established over seven hundred permanent endowments.
LIFE INCOME AGREEMENTS:
A life income agreement allows donors to make substantial tax-deductible gifts to AGBU while retaining the income during their lifetimes.
BEQUESTS AND CHARITABLE TRUST:
Remembering AGBU in a Will or Trust provides for AGBU's future programs while the amount of the gift is deducted from the taxable portions of the testator's estate.
BEQUESTS: REAL ESTATE WITH RETAINED LIFE USE:
A gift of real estate with retained life interest brings a current charitable income tax deduction as well as the knowledge that the donor is providing for the future of the AGBU. Personal residences, vacation homes and farms qualify for this type of gifts.
LIFE INSURANCE:
Giving through life insurance can allow a honor to make a gift of assets no longer needed for the family's security. A donor may give new or existing policies or assign proceeds to be paid in part or in full to AGBU.
